“Recently engaged less than a year ago, never in my wildest dreams I thought I would ever be a bride! I was never one to fantasise about my perfect day, so planning a wedding was definitely new and uncharted territory for me!
I first came across LuxAs Wedding Events when I seen an advertisement for a Wedding Fair on the central coast. Literally 2 weeks after I was engaged, I thought to myself this could be fun and I gathered my closest girl family members for a fun little road trip up the coast
I never actually met Lauren at the wedding fair but one of her other stylists was manning her stall. My mum and sister said her service would be perfect for me as I'm super time poor and also had no idea about anything wedding. When I came home I decided to get a quote from Lauren and her pricing was very competitive compared to some other quotes I also received. At this point I had only spoken to Lauren on the phone. She had a couple of package options to choose from and opted for the all inclusive ceremony and reception styling and coordination. I had major trust issues with accepting the quote as it was a lot of money and to trust this person to plan my entire dream day. I bit the bullet and took a gamble with Lauren. I can honestly say this was the best decision I had made for planning our wedding. Lauren described our relationship as her being my best friend right up until the day. She was that and so much more ! From the start all the way to just about walking me up the aisle Lauren was there for me. Any stupid question or emotional break down she was there. Every phone call she returned and always made herself available to me even whilst she was going through some very personal challenges herself. I felt extremely valued and important to her, and I'm forever grateful for this. From the moment I started sharing my wedding inspiration I felt like we just clicked and she understood my style and she inspired confidence in me that we could achieve our dream wedding whilst working within our budgetary restrictions. Lauren is definitely the hardest worker in the room, a lot of what she does is behind closed doors but you can see through her detailed quotations and concept package how much time and effort goes into what she does, it definitely didn't go unnoticed to me.
In the weeks leading up to the wedding Lauren made me feel excited rather than nervous. She was extremely diligent and organised and ensured all communications we carried out between all vendors so each knew what to expect on the day. Even after I had a couple of vendors falling out Lauren was there to provide advice and alternative vendors promptly.
On the day Lauren messaged me nice and early and gave me little updates, and just got me excited for the day ahead. Lauren came to personally drop off my bouquet (as she was also my floral stylist) and also gave me a personalised gift which I found so incredibly special and generous. Thank you again!
As I walked up the aisle everything was exactly as I had imagined it to be, she definitely understood the assignment and it was absolutely perfect.
The reception was even more incredible. With a really tight bump in time Lauren and her team made it happen and it was exactly what I had pictured again. Attention to detail is so incredibly important to me and I'm so glad that I picked a planner that also valued this. Lauren is a perfectionist and I truly believed that everything she did was always to a standard acceptable to that of her own wedding.
Words cannot describe how beyond grateful I am to Lauren and her team. They did the most incredible job on the day, it was everything I could have dreamed of and more. After the wedding was over I actually felt sad that there was no more planning left to do with Lauren as I had the most wonderful journey with her planning our day. I hope to still remain in contact with Lauren as even though she was my wedding planner I feel that she was more my friend”.
